Causes of poverty in Morocco

In the area where I live, there are many people who face the problem of poverty which is really a serious problem that has many causes and negative effects.

Causes of the poverty:

In fact, there are many reasons that contribute to the problem of poverty. For example, the lack of job opportunities which is the result of the lack of investing in some vital domains like industry and agriculture. Marrying more than woman is really considered as one of the main factors that contribute to the increase of birth rates; for example, if a man marries three women and he has five children with each woman, the number of the children of this family will be fifteen. In addition to that, some parents do not have a fixed job and they have to offer the food and education to their children. These parents have only one solution which is to force their children to leave school at early age and work to support the family.

What should be done to fight the poverty?

To reduce the problem of the poor in my area, I suggest that the government should encourage investments in various domains in order to create well paying jobs for the jobless young people. The government should also help the poor to set up small businesses that will enable them to live in better conditions. In addition to that, marrying more than woman should be forbidden and limiting the number of children ( one or two children or each family) in order to avoid the problem of overpopulation which is the main source of poverty and many social problems.
